First, I wired the electrolysis unit (the hydrogen/oxygen generator) with better wiring than jump cables. It is good quality electrical wire which, as I recall, is 10 gauge.

Secondly, I found some nice small, insulated alligator clips which I thought would work well on the battery, since I can take them off easily if necessary.

In that image, you can make out a small on/off switch at the top. Here is a close up. Green is on, red is off. I actually used a small voltmeter to determine that my hydrogen generator is receiving good current. It hadn't been receiving the best current using the jump cables.

As you can see, I am getting good results. I travelled from a gas station 106.5 miles on less than 15% of my 14.5 gallon tank. When I work that out mathematically, I get something like 50 MPG. This is a preliminary result, but a promising one.
