A bit of funny information I ran across today during a bit of scientific research.
"Hockey sticks" on temperature graphs seem to be part of a computational error.
^ McIntyre, Stephen & Ross McKitrick (2005), "Hockey sticks, principal components, and spurious significance", Geophysical Research Letters
Compare this with examples such as this.
Observed Arctic Temperature, 1900 to Present
It must be fun to win a prize for which you have absolutely no qualifications for in science.
