There are 49 Republicans Senators in the House. Plus two pro-war Independents, Joe Lieberman(CT) and Bernie Sanders(VT).
That leaves 49 Democrat Senators (assuming a best case scenario for Dems in close races in Montana and Virginia).
That means anything the House legislates in regards to Iraq has to get through the Senate and the deciding vote in the case of a tie is Dick Cheney.
Looks like Dems "victory" is kind of lame, especially if you are an anti-war Democrat.
Not to worry, in the next election, after the 12 million guest voters chime in, won't have to worry any more. Why doesn't Bush toss in the fence, not going to need it with his shiny new Democrat amnesty program.
