As of this writing, 96 Americans have been killed in October — the highest single-month total in more than a year.
Actually, this amount MATCHES November 2005 - which is obviously within the last 12 months. Well, obvious to those of us who don't FUCK UP their stupid newspaper column and have a bunch of incompentent schmucks proofreading it.

October has repeatedly been referred to as "the bloodiest month in Iraq in two years". There is a DNC ad circulating on the Internet stating this "fact". Yet that is not true. November 2004 had 137 KIA. January 2005 has 107 KIA. At this time, October 2006 is 99. And with two days left in the month, it doesn't look like the higher number will even be matched, much less exceeded.
Also, the number of wounded is significantly lower. By about 600+ when I checked yesterday. Again, the Democrat statement is FALSE.

In fact - in October 2005 - KIA in Iraq was 96. This year, October KIA is 99. Does that sound like a significant increase to you? Of course not.
There is no significant increase in the amount of KIA in Iraq. In fact, as I stated in a previous post - the KIA per month/day is the lowest of any war in U.S. history.
