Groundhog Day approaches. Is it Octorara or Octoraro Orphie?

Quarryville is generally considered to be located in "Middle Octorara", where there is a Presbyterian church. According to "Along the Octorara", the word "Octorara" is predominently used since the creation in the 50's of the Octorara Area School District.

According to the US Navy, the USS Octorara was named for a creek in Pennsylvania which was named for an Indian word meaning running water.

Our word for "woodchuck" is also derived from the indian language (wojak).

In my opinion, the Quarryville groundhog should be spelled "Octorara Orphie". Octoraro is a creek and lake that is located in Colerain township, outside of Quarryville.
