Obama doesn't know shit about Thanksgiving!
On his change.gov website, Obama recently released a message stating:
"Nearly 150 years ago, in one of the darkest years of our nation's history, President Abraham Lincoln set aside the last Thursday in November as a day of Thanksgiving. America was split by Civil War. But Lincoln said in his first Thanksgiving decree that difficult times made it even more appropriate for our blessings to be -- and I quote -- "gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American people."
First of all, Lincoln's first Thanksgiving decree does not contain that phrase. It is his second. And Lincoln did not establish the Thanksgiving holiday.
Actually, here is the Proclamation by Franklin Roosevelt that made Thanksgiving an official American holiday, a tradition that actually started with the Presidency of George Washington.

On December 5, 2008, only ten days before the electoral college votes, the nine Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court will meet in private to review Obama’s citizenship status.
Leo Donofrio’s case, “Leo C. Donofrio, v. Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey, United States Supreme Court Docket No. 08A407,” regarding Obama’s citizenship has reached a new level. The case has been “distributed for conference.”
This docketing today by the court should send ripples of fear through the Obama camp. Obama has been proceeding at lightening speed to put together a cabinet and take possession of the White House with the hope that he won’t have to answer the question of whether or not he was “at birth” a “natural born citizen.”
Every major news network, print and cable news like FOX, CNN and MSNBC, have ignored all the court cases challenging Obama’s eligibility as sore losers or conspiracy theories. It might be in their best interest at this point to report this critically important meeting to take place on December 5, 2008, or lose what little credibility they have left.
If four of the nine Justices vote to hear the case in full review, oral argument may be ordered. The conference is scheduled for December 5, 2008, ten days before the meeting of the Electoral College…
The case originally sought, pre-election, to have the names of Barack Obama, John McCain, and Roger Calero removed from New Jersey ballots, and for a stay of the “national election” pending Supreme Court review of whether those candidates were eligible under the Constitution as natural born Citizens, as is required by Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution of the United States.
Leo Donofrio brought his case from a lower New Jersey court to the NJ Supreme Court — was denied — and then he filed an emergency stay application in the United States Supreme Court on Nov. 3, 2008, before the Honorable Associate Justice David Souter. Justice Souter denied the emergency stay application on Nov. 6.
Leo Donofrio renewed the application, as per Supreme Court Rule 22.4, to the Honorable Associate Justice Clarence Thomas by way of Express mail on Nov. 14. The application arrived at the Supreme Court on Nov. 17 and was submitted directly to Justice Thomas.
On Nov. 19, the case was docketed for full conference of all nine Justices and scheduled for December 5, 2008. It is not known at this time the exact details of how the case came to be “DISTRIBUTED for Conference”.

In the past four days, wildfires raging across southern California have forced thousands of people to evacuate, destroyed hundreds of homes, and burned tens of thousands of acres. Firefighters today said they are finally getting control of the fires, but many people are only now returning to survey the damage.
President-elect Obama called both Governor Schwarzenegger and Mayor Villaraigosa yesterday to express his concern over the wildfires and to receive an update on the situation.

I just gotta say it
Alright, Gil's been pretty good lately. And by "good", I mean that he hasn't been out there posting false information, fallacies, and other tidbits of liberal propaganda. At least, not as much as he used to. I'm sure he has slipped in a few here and there when I wasn't looking.
But for him to STILL be writing about Sarah Palin several weeks after the election seems very irrelevant and just plain silly. I mean, wasn't Obama's election to the office of President supposed to be a great uniter? Just sayin'.

Obama [or his lawyer(s)] MUST respond no later than 1 DEC to the SCOTUS-granted Writ of Certiorari.
VERY, VERY FEW writs of this type are ever granted by SCOTUS.
This writ was granted due to some very compelling reasons - the number one reason hinges on whether Obama is Constitutionally elibible to hold the office of POTUS.

MSNBC retracts false Palin story; others duped
NEW YORK (AP) - MSNBC was the victim of a hoax when it reported that an adviser to John McCain had identified himself as the source of an embarrassing story about former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the network said Wednesday.
David Shuster, an anchor for the cable news network, said on air Monday that Martin Eisenstadt, a McCain policy adviser, had come forth and identified himself as the source of a Fox News Channel story saying Palin had mistakenly believed Africa was a country instead of a continent.
Eisenstadt identifies himself on a blog as a senior fellow at the Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy. Yet neither he nor the institute exist; each is part of a hoax dreamed up by a filmmaker named Eitan Gorlin and his partner, Dan Mirvish, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
The Eisenstadt claim had mistakenly been delivered to Shuster by a producer and was used in a political discussion Monday afternoon, MSNBC said.
"The story was not properly vetted and should not have made air," said Jeremy Gaines, network spokesman. "We recognized the error almost immediately and ran a correction on air within minutes."

Barack Obama has created a stir by proclaiming that he heads “The Office of President-Elect” — an office that does not officially exist.
At his first news conference on Nov. 7, Obama stood at a podium bearing a sign that read: “Office of the President-Elect. Also, his Web site, Change.gov, bears the words “Office of the President-Elect” at the top of its home page.

Technically speaking, Obama may not even be the President-elect, according to the American Sentinel Web site.
“Megalomaniac Obama’s ego grows even more insufferable,” a weekend posting reads.
“Yes, he will be [president-elect]. But he’s not officially yet, until the Electoral College votes.
“The Constitution provides that on the Monday after the second Wednesday in December, electors convene in their respective state capitals. It’s then that they formally elect the President of the United States, based on the general election results.”
The Nov. 7 news conference did not mark the first time Obama has created controversy with a podium.
Back in June, he spoke at a podium bearing a new seal that altered the official presidential seal.
The seal did include the American bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, but the Latin phrase “E Pluribus Unum” was changed to “Vero Possumus,” a rough translation of the Obama campaign slogan, “Yes we can.”
Obama’s seal also removed the shield over the eagle’s breast, representing the president’s oath to defend the Constitution, and replaced it with the letter “O,” presumably for Obama, and the image of the rising sun.

At a news conference, Berlusconi was brusque with an American journalist who suggested he should say sorry for the remark on Thursday. Visiting Moscow, he described the man elected to be the first black U.S. president as "handsome, young and also suntanned."
His center-left opponents called the comment racist; Berlusconi responded by saying they were "imbeciles without any sense of humor."
At Friday's news conference after a European Union summit, the reporter asked: "Prime Minister, do you realize that your comment on Obama is offensive to the United States? Why don't you apologize?"

She asked Obama how he was preparing for the job of president. "Have you spoken to any living ex-presidents, I was wondering what books you might be reading, everyone wants to know what kind of dog are you going to buy for your girls, and have you decided on a private or public school for your daughters?”
Obama came back with this: “In terms of speaking with former presidents, I have spoken to all of them that are living … obviously President Clinton … Hey, I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any séances … I have re-read some of Lincoln’s writings … and President Carter, President Bush Sr. as well as the current president, who have all been very gracious.”
The gathered press laughed but apparently didn’t notice that Obama confused Nancy Reagan with former first Lady Hillary Clinton, who did admit to having at least one séance in which she summoned the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt.
Nancy Reagan consulted an astrologist after President Reagan was shot.

An awful lot of Red
Don't be fooled by this election.
It has not been a total loss for Republicans. For one thing, the Democrats failed to obtain a supermajority in the Senate, meaning that the Republicans will be amount to launch filibusters.

Obama's illegal resident aunt being deported, contributions being returned

Barack Obama did not know a relative was living in the United States illegally for the past nearly four years prior to today's Associated Press report, "but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed," the campaign said Saturday in a statement.
The Democratic nominee last heard from Zeituni Onyango, who attended his swearing-in ceremony to the U.S. Senate in 2005 and is a half-sister of Obama's late father, two years ago, when she called to say she was in Boston, the campaign said. Campaign officials said they did not assist her in getting a tourist visa and had not known that she was living in America.
News of Onyango's legal status, which the AP confirmed through sources, including a federal law enforcement official, provided an unwelcome diversion for the Obama campaign during its final push toward Election Day and stoked suspicions among supporters of a political motive behind the timing of the leak.
