After all that Iran war bupkis on Bush, nothing on Clinton statement

HILLARY: Well, the question was if Iran were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel, what would our response be? And I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran, and I want them to understand that, because it does mean that they have to look very carefully, uh, at their society. Because at whatever stage of development they might be in their nuclear weapons program, in the next ten years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them. That's like a terrible thing to say, but those people who run Iran need to understand that because that perhaps will deter them from doing something that would be reckless, foolish, and tragic.

Kooky Pelosi attempts to revise the Old Testament

Full Story

RUSH: By the way, there's a report out there that Nancy Pelosi is "misquoting" or did "misquote" the Bible on Earth Day on April 22nd. She did no such thing! There are too many people on our side who are unwilling to tell the truth. She didn't "misquote." She made it up! She literally lied and made it up! "In her April 22 Earth Day news release, Pelosi said, 'The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, "To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us." On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children's children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.'" So she lies. She didn't "misquote" the Bible. She made it up! It's not there! All to advance a political agenda. Quoting the Bible to fit an agenda?

"Claude Mariottini, a professor of Old Testament at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, told Cybercast News Service the passage not only doesn't exist -- it's 'fictional.' 'It is not in the Bible,' [the theologian] said. 'There is nothing that even approximates that,'" in the Bible. Nothing. It's not even "close." She was totally made up; it was not a misquote. People are so afraid to be critical of people on things like this. You know, Obama does the same thing. All these liberals, they start playing games with what's in the Bible and redefining this and what Jesus said and so forth. Pelosi made it up, and everybody is talking about how she "misquoted" the Bible and so forth. This is far more hideous than a misquote.

I want to give you another way to read this Pelosi quote. This Pelosi quote, "To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us." It seems to me like what Ms. Pelosi is saying -- and this is to advance the whole concept of global warming, by the way -- is, "Don't worship the Creator. Worship the created." Don't worship the Creator, because we can't worship the creator; because the created is the Creator. Nature, Gaia, whatever. But this frosts me. It's not a "misquote." She made it up -- unless she's got a new religion that she hasn't told us about and she's just calling it Christianity.

Now it's getting ugly. Cindy Sheehan takes on Nancy Pelosi!!

Full Story

Peace activist Cindy Sheehan wants to snatch House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's congressional seat from her in November, but first she's going to need the help - and signatures - of 10,198 friends and supporters.

Sheehan was at San Francisco City Hall on Friday to take out papers for her independent run for Congress, but without those signatures from voters in the district, her name won't show up on the ballot.

"It's an uphill battle," said Sheehan, who vowed to run against Pelosi in July after the speaker refused to start impeachment proceedings against President George Bush. "But I'm excited about the signature-gathering process. It's going to be an opportunity to talk to people about our campaign."

Bill Clinton won't take any shit

Full Story

RUSH: You don't know what he said? You don't know what he said? You can't make it out? Okay. After he says, "Thank you, I hope everybody go out and vote tomorrow. Bye-bye," he pulled the phone away from his face a little bit, was about to hang it up, and said, "I don't think I should take any sh-- [beep]..." Crap. "I don't think I should take any [crap] from anybody on that, do you?" meaning the race card and so forth and so on. But that aired. That aired on a Philadelphia radio station yesterday.

House challenges Pelosi for gas plan, LoL!

Full Story

House Republican leaders on Tuesday challenged Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to release a plan to lower gas prices that they say Democrats touted when they were in the minority.

“Two years ago this week, you stated that House Democrats had a ‘commonsense plan’ to ‘lower gas prices,’ ” the letter said. “In light of the skyrocketing gasoline prices affecting working families and every sector of our struggling economy, we are writing today to respectfully request that you reveal this ‘commonsense plan’ so we can begin work on responsible solutions to help ease this strain.”

LOL! LOL! ROFLMAO!

Why is Carter meeting with Hamas...? A second time?

Full Story

Former US president Jimmy Carter and Khaled Meshaal, exiled chief of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, held more talks in Syria on Saturday focused on a possible truce between Israel and Gaza militants and the release of an Israeli soldier, Hamas said.

The two men held a lengthy meeting on Friday, strongly opposed by Washington and Israel who view Hamas as a terrorist organisation despite its victory in Palestinian elections in 2006.

Post in tomorrow's Sunday News

In Smucker's defense

I've been disappointed and saddened by the recent attacks leveled at Lloyd Smucker for his fundraising announcement of $185,000 back in February. As the person who made the announcement, I'd like to respond.

Our campaign team announced the $185,000 in February, based upon personal commitments from outside donors and from the candidate himself. I announced at a fundraiser Feb. 9 that we were reporting $185,000 in financial support, including pledges. While not all of the money had been collected at the time of the fundraiser, it is typical in fundraising for people to request some time in submitting their financial commitments.

Furthermore, we have all been humbled by the tremendous show of financial support for Lloyd's candidacy, and we were recently very proud to report $250,000 in total funds received on our most recent campaign finance report, well in excess of the $185,000 previously announced.

Lloyd's success in both business and in local government, where he has helped to increase services in one of Lancaster County's fastest-growing townships without raising property taxes, has resonated with the citizens of the 13th District.

Lower gas prices the goal? Gee, ya think?

It must have been April Fool's recently. Yesterday, Gil wrote on his blog a post titled "Is cheap fuel the goal?".

Are you shitting me?

Here is the guy that right before the 2006 election was ragging on and on about gas hitting $3 a gallon - months before it ever did! And do you know when it did reach $3 a gallon? Under the Democrat Congress watch! That's right, after Nancy Pelosi went on record as saying that Democrats have "a commonsense plan" to bring down "skyrocketing gas prices" in 2006, here we are two years later and still setting gas price record highs!

A commonsense plan? April Fool's!

LancasterVoice Caught Lying About KIA in Iraq

Lancastervoice.org was recently caught red-handed with an erroneous post on their website titled "4,000th Soldier Killed in Iraq". Their site goes on to say "This past weekend, the 4,000th United States solider was killed in combat."

Wrong!

As of April 1, 2008 at 10 a.m., the correct figure for KIA in Iraq is 3,270.

Check this source. They are inaccurately adding NON-HOSTILE deaths to the "killed in combat" figure! That's dishonest and a tremendous disservice to those who serve. They are entitled to their opinion, but should not be entitled to mislead us by manipulating and exaggerating facts.

All Democrats resign, party comes to crashing end

Democrats relinquished their stranglehold on American politics today. In a unanimous move, Howard Dean and ranking officials at the DNC shut down the DNC and urged all Democrats to resign their political office immediately.

According to Dean, "The time of oppression on the American people has lasted for centuries. Today, it comes to an end. The DNC is no more."

Joining in, both Hillary Clinton and Obama proved their solidarity by dropping out of the Presidential election for the year of 2008. Clinton stated "I can no longer put myself into the line of fire. My campaign ends today." Obama was not available, but a spokesman for Obama indicated that he would also drop out to allow McCain the office of President uncontested.
